Well, Hello George
So training time has been going great, but this past Saturday, I had the opportunity to go to Washington DC and just enjoy myself! I had a blast! There were some neat things that happened while we were there. I met 4 really sweet ladies from Saudi Arabia. They were quick to inform me that we had walked 30 blocks in the WRONG direction as we were looking for their special place. Our waitress was from Serbia and she talked with us about her Orthodox beliefs. Our parking attendant was from Cameroon, he was quite surprised that I knew where that was in Africa! Over and over again, Dad kept putting special people in our paths. As I walked through that city, and I think we covered it ALL that day, Dad's presence was right there with us, directing us to the right restaurant for Emily, down the wrong streets for me, and through the parking lot for Joy. He is GOOD and His directions are never wrong! If I'm learning anything right now during my time here, it's that when I crawl up in his lap and sit a while, he's faithful to hear me. I'm learning to take my eyes off of myself and look intently to HIM! I've been challenged during this time with many thoughts but none have echoed louder in my head than, "am I pointing all the praises and the glory to HIM for the LARGE and the SMALL things in my life right now???" I'm so thankful to Dad for 5 girls who wanted to have FUN in DC for the day. I'm thankful to Dad for 4 ladies from Saudi. I'm thankful to Dad for 3 (or 30) blocks that we walked in the wrong direction, whose counting anyway??? I'm thankful to Dad for 2 amazing weeks of sitting in my daddy's big and strong LAP! I'm thankful for ONE father who hears and knows and answers me according to what He thinks is best!
