I know what it means to MISS New Orleans

This past weekend, Dan and I went to New Orleans, my favorite city in the whole wide world. We had a blast. We spent time with Malia, my former roomie, and celebrated her recent graduation from NOBTS! I'm so proud of that girl. We all enjoyed amazing jazz music at Preservation Hall. We rode through the French Quarter in a carriage. We ate lots of beignets. We walked Magazine St. and of course through downtown, We rode the trolley. We ate lots of beignets. We relaxed and watched movies with friends. And I, of course, ate lots of BEIGNETS! I so miss that city and my friends and to just spend a long weekend there is like a breath of fresh air! It was also fun to watch Dan enjoy the city. This was his first time in New Orleans and he loved everything but the HEAT! I'll be heading back down to NOLA in July to gut homes still devasted by Katrina and to love on some of my favorite people, the homeless of New Orleans.
