Bank Account, Check!

So I am such a list maker! In my previous place of service, I could easily make a "to do" list, check it off and move along....  In fact, I could go to the bank, stop by Target, mail cards at the post office, get gas in my car, clean my house, order a tall non-fat cinnamon dulce latte from starbucks, and get a haircut, ALL IN ONE DAY!
Well, here it's not quite that way.
I do have a checklist here; however, it doesn't seem like much gets checked off each day. In fact, today I accomplished two things:  I set up a bank account and mailed letters back home! A couple of weeks ago, that would have and did totally frustrate me and make me feel like "I'm not getting much done", but as I adjust to life here and realize that they don't operate on a "check-list" mentality, I'm becoming okay and settled. In fact, I'm just happy I got one thing checked off my list today!
So what am I learning through this???
I don't always have to operate on my schedule or what I think I have to get done. I must operate on my Dad's and trust that what I accomplish that day is for his kingdom and not for me to check off a list.
So, I still have my list - but I'm becoming okay with only two check marks on it, for now!

Hey Kimmy! I can only imagine how hard it would be to adjust to such a different lifestyle. I live with a mom who lives to make lists haha so I realize the transition would be difficult. You are doing a fantastic job and you are loved back here in GA! we miss ya
